Deck - sealed but cracks not filled in?
I recently had my deck stripped of stain, washed and sealed. After 10 days, I can still see the small cracks that were visible prior to the procedure when the deck was dry.
Shouldnt most of the cracks have got filled in or is that just my misconception about how deck sealing works?
No matter what you will have cracks with treated wood. Deck sealent actually absorbs into the wood and adds to the life of the wood. It asborbs into and makes it last longer. The more weathered treated lumber gets, the more it cracks and bows and looks rough.
