Why people use toilet paper to wipe their shit instead of water?
Isn't it still dirty and at the same time causing deforestation too?

nope, paper doesnt cause deforestation...lumber companies replant trees to replace everything cut down.
im pretty sure the kind of toilets you're talking about are only available in europe, and even if you could get them in america, there is always a tradeoff...
1) increased demand for water (higher water bills)
2) increase in the volume of sewage to be treated (because everyone would be using water to get clean)
3) raped in the butt by a stream of water (realistically, imagine how hard a stream that would have to be to get everything, and then imagine that stream shot directly at your anus...akwaaaaaard, hope its warm water, at least)
4) Aim! your butthole needs to be in the right place in order to get cleaned!
5) MOST IMPORTANLY: after your ass has been cleaned by a water-fountain for your derier, what are you going to dry it with!? no TP, how about a paper towel? nope, defeats the purpose. i suppose you could always go with a reusable towel...
6) this one just missed the "most importantly" label, but its still high up: good, soft TP feels great between your cheeks. no tp, no soft, comforting charmin for your butt
